Hand Therapy for rehabilitation specialists. Tallinn, Estonia.

 Hand Therapy 2 days course for beginner.

The structure of the course is divided into 8 blocks:

Block 1. Theory.

We will analyze the protocols of the most common problems of the upper limbs: carpal tunnel syndrome, superior carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, De Quervain's disease, Guyon's canal syndrome, functional instability, medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow), lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), fractures, edema, postoperative recovery, work with scars and other cases.

Block 2. Practice. Kinesio taping.

Techniques of decompression, stabilization and lymphatic drainage for upper limbs.


  


Block 3. Practice. Instrumental Mobilization of Soft Tissues. Techniques for working with tools, cupping and floss.

- Tools. Trigger technique. Mobilization technique. Scar technique.

- Cupping. Drainage technique. Mobilization technique.

- Flossing. Mobilization technique.

  

Block 4. Practice. Mechanotherapy.

We will work out the basic exercises for wrist function trending using mechanotherapy board.


Block 5. Practice. Manual techniques.

- FDM therapy.
- Joint manipulations.



Block 6. Theory. Exercise therapy programs.

- PROM/AROM

- Auxiliary exercise equipment (plasticine, silicone, balls, rubber bands, sand)


Block 7. Theory.

Physical therapy: electrical myostimulation, percussion therapy, vacuum therapy.


Block 8. Theory.

We will consider protocols for less common problems of the upper limbs, as well as protocols that do not require the help of a rehabilitation specialist (a surgeon or other specialist is required).
